The last few weeks I've been working on Second Life Groups within SLProfiles.com which is a feature that many members have been asking for. The reason why it took me so long to launch groups within SLP is simply because it's a lot of work. It's kinda like creating a new profile site as many feature of a regular profile site are incorporated into these groups. Needless to say I used MySpace as an example but integrated things that are specific to Second Life into it (like SLURLS for the group and all group pictures). So what features are currently within a group (and yes I'll consider expanding these groups if requested):
- Private or Public Groups. Private groups are groups where every member needs to be approved. With public groups no approval is needed
- Background and colors are customizable simular to your current profile
- Members can leave Group Comments
- Group Pictures - members can also leave picture comments IF permitted by group owner
- Posting of Bulletins
- Group Forum
For those who have submitted suggestions, don't worry, I've got a long list of planned small and major updates to the site.
