Ending sentences with a period instead of an exclamation mark unless they are truly exclamations might be worth considering.

I had a '68 Buick in my ear and it didn't stop /me/ from hearing that screaming.
Are you sure that isn't a load-bearing banana?

I apologies for posting in capitals, it was very late in the night and it was a mistake I didn’t notice at the time.

Our company is strongly against spam. Our marketing approach is based around a strong brand image, strong customer relations and a strong in world presence.
The XD-Trading.com website is just one of our entry services that we will initially provide. But we also have several other projects in development, including several new features on the XD-trading website.

Does 'XD' stand for anything or is it the smilie of the guy laughing so hard his eyes are closed?
*EDIT* Your sign up form isn't very user-friendly - lots of guessing and page errors. I am a builder but it doesn't look like I can get listed without running my own group.

From: Sensual Casanova man you guys are harsh, and a bit immature to nitpick and such silly things... give it a rest. Well, if someone is touting they are running a 'Media Design Group', don't you think they should give the expression they KNOW about media design? I would expect professionalism from someone who wants my money for a service. I hope my 'nit-picking' will help this obvious noobie to the game out, at the moment he just shows "I don't know what I'm doing yet".. These 'Silly Things' are what is going to cost them business.. "You only have one chance to make a good first impression" Cheers

Cheers And a lot of people surf the forums just looking to flame people. I do not want your money nor would I allow you on our database as we want to quality control who have a listing. You seem too unforgiving for anyone to work with for us to approve anything but a basic listing. A company that holds its hand up and admits when they have made a mistake and trys to resolve a problem, is more likely to gain customer trust. Mistakes do happen, it is human nature, it is more important that we are a company that admits when they make errors. I work 8-10 hours a day in the real world and with the rest of the day I like to work on secondlife projects. My mistake of typing in capitals was due to having worked a very long day and was tired and didn't want to let my secondlife team down. As for 'noobie'. In secondlife I am new, I don't deny it, but the rest of my team are experienced members. Our Secondlife company is new but we have already got two real world clients who hired us to do a secondlife marketing campaign. My role is to manage the whole operation; posting forum post is something I am doing temporary until I can hire the right person for a marketing role. It is funny that you have called me a noobie because if you have ever made a website with a content management system and database, its not something a noobie can exactly do. But if I am wrong please prove it through your example, we welcome competition, it can only serve to make us improve the quality of our service. After looking at your current website http://sl.iwgn.net/I really don't think you can comment on professionalism, you should take that down before it ruins your image. Thank stove Lu XD project manager

I wish you much success ..laters I havn't spamed the forums at all. I have placed one entry within the correct forum area. As for trying to help, your intensions have not come across in that manner. I have found your posts to be insulting, unpolite and unpleasant to read. As for clients, we already have a good client base, this website is a new product roll-out, and its main objective is to support our ingame activities which are going extremely well. XD-trading website has already resulted in serveral spin off jobs, with players hiring our skills for custom built buildings and web devlopment work.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but most successful builders/scripters have their own stores and/or market themselves.

Oh here we go.. bashing eachother's websites, I wouldn't be surprised if we saw some hair pulling.. How do you make a site that is under construction look professional? "Our site is currently undergoing maintenace. We apologise for this inconvenience and are working hard to get it back up as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience." Now back to the TOPIC: Once you get your forms all cleaned up and newbie-friendly, I think it's a pretty good idea. It'd be like a Monster.ca for SL - The one to rule them all so to speak . - Jolan

From: Jolan Nolan How do you make a site that is under construction look professional? "Our site is currently undergoing maintenace. We apologise for this inconvenience and are working hard to get it back up as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience." - Jolan That's a hard call. Best practices would indicate that you don't do this. You don't launch until you have all the content you think a initial viewer would want to see. When we launched SecondSeeker.com we made sure we had about 10 reviews up before we told anyone about it. With that said, this can be hard to achieve in practice. I'd be willing to guess that most of the SL web sites that would be discussed here are labors of love done in one's spare time. When you are halfway done and have content worth sharing, it is really difficult to not announce. And as for the XD site... I certainly could have used something like that awhile back. I literally spent hours looking for an artisan who could make the trophy for the SecondSeeker.com Regatta. I eventually, and accidentaly, found someone who made a great trophy for us. I wish you had launched a few months ago.

I certainly could have used something like that awhile back. I literally spent hours looking for an artisan who could make the trophy for the SecondSeeker.com Regatta. I eventually, and accidentaly, found someone who made a great trophy for us. I wish you had launched a few months ago. Well, we have beta tested the site for a few weeks. The Inner workings and the progress of its devlopment had slowed down. So i decided to launch so user feedback would help us to refine the design. One of my other reason was due to a book that I just read on how to improve business, saying rather than perfecting then lanching, launch and fix as you go. The system was 95% complete and the methodology we used, XP(extreme programming) stated to lauch at this stage. The reason why 100 first members get free membership is to help us identify our problems. I would like to also ask the community a real big favour. Please could you list class:catergories and types that we dont have and you would like to this forum post. It is a manual process that I have to add in. I didnt want to allow user to add nonsense. A HUGE thanks to all that help.
