With the first round of Official Forums closures now complete, I wanted to once again invite anyone who liked the original layout to join us at the Second Life Home Page Forums:

The site is a clone of the old Resident Conversation layout using vBulletin 3.6 and part of a network including Topsites and SLHandbook. The site has been pre-paid for two years and currently supports 200GB of storage and 1TB of monthly bandwidth.

I will be adding some additional features to the forums but do not want to disrupt the familiar interface. Any suggestions are welcome and hope to see users, new and old, find a place to continue their dialog with each other and Linden Lab.

Today should be a good test of third party forums to serve the community during downtime. The Second Life Home Page Forums are ready to go and I hope everyone interested will stop by! Maybe I'll even get to see hoe performance from my host is working!

Yeah, it's me again, whoring out the site! We had a number of new residents sign up looking for advice! We have some good conversations going on about the current situation as well as the future! And we have that familiarity that comes from basically being a clone of the Official Forums before this weeks first batch of closures. I'm also requesting help with designing alternate version of the Events and Voting features of Second Life. I am willing to code and preview these alternatives and then turn the code over to Linden Lab. I hope to finish the voting alternative by Sunday as it has recently come up on the Blog. Any and all suggestions are welcome!

We have a bunch of interesting discussions going on today, from the new Economic Statistics to a proposed government system! Does any one person dominate your forums? The forum I was going to contribute to has become unreadable because of one self-obsessed nutcase. The person in question seems to figure largely in other forums I've looked at too. It's caused me to just about give up on third party forums altogether.
