Last week we rolled out an update on our SLProfiles site that will allow you to post Second Life related events just like you can on the Second Life site. The difference? You can post an additional picture of the event AND current events are shown on our main page. Again another great way for businesses to promote their upcoming events for free. Stay tuned for more updates within the next 2 weeks!

I used to have an events list integrated with SLBoutique - this is great to see, Yo! A few suggestions on some features we added that people really enjoyed:

- Event recurrence. Allow the user to select if the event happens weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly, and auto-renew it after it has happened.

- Notification regardless of online status. An IM would be sent 15 minutes prior to the event. This was particularly handy if IM to email was enabled.

- Ability to add events from in-world. I created a device that made it easy to add an event in world, by simply dropping a prim. Let me know if you'd be interested in a full mod copy.

Seeing an events list that is actually usable, and not filled with non-events, would be absolutely lovely!

Thanks for the info Flip. I'm sure going to incorporate some of your ideas into our site. I'll let you know if I plan on adding the ability to add events from in-world!

Where is SL Profile?

I tried to bring up SL Profiles this morning and all I get is a blank page. Does anybody know what happened or having this problem also?

Yes I did too. The site must be down. I'm sure they are working on something. Big Bummer though! Need my fix of the profiles as much as SL!

Isn't working for me either. Bummer, was really excited to have another website to visit from the office when I can't get in-world...

We've had an events calendar over at Stratics (http://sl.stratics.com) for some time which is free to use if anyone is interested. All you need to do is sign up (free and easy) and post.
