MySpace like page for residents needed?

Greetings all,

Strauss here, joined SL last week. Find it quite interesting and frankly not as daunting as my initial impression lead me to believe. Also thanks to those vets who helped me out on the right foot.

While I am 'new' in the regards of SL I have been around the block more then once when it comes to online communities. Ran several successful communities from everything to IRC RPG room (at the time before I retired became the most populous of the genre on the DalNET network) to a Ultima Online server/community site to a Neverwinter Nights server/community site as well as others. My point being while specific GUI's or mechanics may change I find, as a whole, a online community is more or less a online community and pretty much has identical core characteristics. thus am fairly familiar with the pros, and cons, of such.

None the less my introduction aside, I see a lot of blog sites, forum sites, link sites, media sites, etc listed.. but is there a existing SL site that has all those features in one like a MySpace like site? One that allows SL people to create their own subpage on said site, to blog, post comments, make a galleries, show a video, post a article, etc all in one?

you might want to try our app: Second Life Link for Facebook - we utilize Facebook, one of the worlds largest social networking hubs out there to leverage your social networks in SL...

With Facebook as you may well know, there are apps availalbe to accomplish all those things you asked - ie: blogs, wikies etc.

If you ware concerned about privacy, some of our users are making alt facebook accounts, that may work for you, however i think this is against the fb tos, just to let you know - anyhow check it out -

with our app you can:

1) display your sl online/offline status
2) map rl friends to their sl avs
3) tp to favorite locations
4) do comunity searches for people not using our app

anyhow, let us know what you think
