Hi everyone!

We have redesigned our website www.SecondLifeReview.info and are dedicating more time to publishing fresh reviews every week. We still need reviewers and of course visitors to make the whole effort worth while!

If you have strong opinions about Second Life and would like to submit a review, we are paying 500L per review that we publish!

If you want to save yourself some time finding the best clubs, organizations, freebie zones, and places to shop - read our reviews. We give a 1 to 5 star rating for each review so you can tell at a glance what is hot and what's not!

Enjoy!

Do your realize that "SecondLifeReview.info" in in violation of the Second Life trademark as explained in a recent blog posting from Linden Labs? You might want to change this.

Hi S.A.

Thank you for your concern.

Actually, no, we do not allow anonymous bashing of any sort.

Any reviews that we do publish are edited for content and signed by the reviewer.

You don't allow anonymous bashing? How do you plan to stop it?

How do you know if the person sending a review is the person they say they are and do they have to be a member of SL? If I go and submit a few reviews right now as someone else, how will you know? Do you confirm all the entries by logging into SL and asking the person if they added a review?

Even if you could, there are alts in SL also. Everyone is pretty much anonymous here. Submitting reviews about other peoples businesses no matter how small can make someone loose money from their pocket just because someone decides to be rude. You don't know if those reviews are real or not. Do you? Is there some way for the shop owner to respond?

Sorry for all the questions but now you have me very interested.
By the way, I love the name of your site.

Hello again S.A. and thank you for your interest and concern.

We PAY our reviewers for reviews that we publish, which means that yes, we do confirm the entry.

We are publishers running a for-profit website, so we do our best to publish only high quality and accurate reviews. We recognize that publishing nothing but rave reviews or bad reviews would give our website a poor reputation, plus that would be boring!

We welcome feedback on our site: feedback@secondlifereview.info

http://secondlife.com/corporate/brand/trademark/sl_insl.php#guidelines

From: someone

This is OK:
DellSL.com
Dell-SL.com
DellinSL.com
SLArchitecturalDesignServices.com
SLADS.com (acronym for SL Architectural Design Services Inc.)

This is NOT OK:
DellSecondLife.com (can't use "Second Life";)
Dell-SecondLife.com (can't use "Second Life";)
SLArchitecture.com (must use at least two generic nouns with "SL";)
SLDesign.com (only one generic noun; must use at least two)

If you've registered your own word mark or your name with two or more generic nouns as a second-level domain name, you may use "SL" or "inSL" as the subdomain or third-level domain, which is the part of the domain name before the second-level domain. You may also use "SL" or "inSL" in the URL path after your domain name. For example,

Have you registered your site with the Second Life Branding Center or obtained written permission from Linden Lab to use "SecondLife" in your domain name? If not, I guess we can all run over to your site and leave anonymous reviews with our alts and get 500L a pop until ...oh ...I'd say about June 24.

Seriously, why would you register a domain name that violates their trademark policy and then post it on their forums?

Reviews are definately needed

I am glad to see this site. Another place is the review section of Slexchange. I bought a gun the other day, it was awful. In the picture it looked tiny and it said it had a shoulder holster. It was actually very large and the holster was a thigh holster that try as I might, can not shrink to small enough for my 'dainty' thigh. A review might have helped me to avoid this error.

Hi Bhakta thanks for the input.

This is exactly what we have in mind for the site.

Rave reviews as well as not-so-rave reviews are welcome.

Please consider submitting a review of that place for our readers. :-)

Did you put a review up on SLX so other people can see your opinion?

Ok, I can do that. I have gotten so much 'stuff' at SL that I could write reviews all day!
