You made a web site for your Second Life inventory?!
Seriously, how geeky can I be?
The sad truth is that I am so crazy about Second Life, I want to sit around looking at my stuff all day like some greedy little miser. And as a librarian, I obviously want to catalog said stuff, and then browse and/or search the resulting database. And I want it online, so I can access it from anywhere.
So to answer the question, I can be extremely geeky. That's why I made this web site.
To be honest, there are some very practical reasons as well, at least in the context of being an SL geek. Trying to browse my inventory in-world means I have to be somewhere I have build permissions, with enough space and free prims to actually rez something. And that's after I've dug around in my inventory for the item, which may or may not actually be listed at any given moment due to assorted SL glitches and lagginess. In the end, I just find it a lot faster and easier to take pictures of my stuff for viewing outside of SL.
So why would anyone else care?
Of course I'd like to make the site useful for others as well. Purchase information is included, so you can go get your own if you see something you like. And if you see a freebie that you like, just message me and I'll send you a copy (either IM me in-world, or use the contact form on the web site).
