I was hoping to field (constructive?) criticism on a project I've pieced together over the past couple of weeks:

While there is nothing 'new' about 'battle' sites or 'avatar' sites - I'm not aware of any project that merges the two themes directly. Before I get flamed for the 'competitive' aspect - let me say that it was designed to be a 'fun' competition - nothing more.

There's still a bit of work to be done (logos, RSS integration, etc.). I simply wanted to take a moment to guage general sentiment towards the project before I polished up the edges.

Good idea? Bad idea? Waste of time?

Any and all comments are greatly appreciated.

Hmm.. Maybe I should have solicited for comment in the 'Gallery' forum...

Not quite the first - Burke Prefect was running RateMyAv.com for a while, but not at the moment.

Personally I never use any of those 'battle' sites, so I'm afraid I can't relly comment much on it other than to say: TABLES?!?!?

Ooh, everything I said was negative - bad habit, soz.

It's a really cool project.

*chuckles* I was aware of ratemyav.com - although not until a few days ago (when I was nearly finished with the project). I figured I would trudge ahead - considering the 'battle' and 'rating' concepts were far enough removed as to not overlap directly.
