I wouldn't be surprised if a million of those are 'free alt accounts' designed so people can get free money by camping. Like the person that was banned from Emerald Falls the other day for camping 12 alts with No-Idle programs running...and cashing the 12's "earnings" into their main.

Based on simple mathematics, if there are an average of 25,000+ users ingame for most of the day, and not all of them are the same people all the time (say a ratio of 1:3) making around 75,000+ frequent users, add another 25% for less frequent users... taking a view of how many people I have calling cards for over the years, and how many I actually see ingame as an average... I have come to the conclusion I am alone with 24,952 alts and a smattering of Lindens
