If I remember rightly, isn't Safari based on the KDE (Linux) browser known as Konqueror? I could be (and probably am) wrong, but if not, don't you have the option to spoof the user-agent. Ie. Tell Safari to identify itself to websites as Firefox or IE. This is often enough to get you onto sites which don't like your browser.

Did any of that make sense to you at all? lol.

I'll relay your message at SLU to see if anybody has any ideas. =)

Try emptying your cache and restarting. Also, it appears your video card isn't supported and you're behind a firewall.

Edited: OH, SLU, not SL! n/m. IIRC it worked ok on the beta of 3 on windows but that's not a good comparison.

Well, I have no problems with Safari 3.0.3 with the forums, the start page, Snapzilla, slshopper et al, and I am not spoofing the user-agent. I'm not sure what to suggest really. What version are you using?

This was a temporary problem, that seems to have been fixed, now.

Yes, I noticed that after posting, rather embarrassingly, but I was still interested for the record so I left the post there.

Sorry about that - I was dealing with a problem with someone creating alt accounts, and I turned on the web proxy filter. I forgot that it affects some Safari 2 users - it has been turned back off.
