With Christmas just around the corner people are looking for gifts to buy one another and now is not the time stop creating content due to RL economic fears or dipping sales.

We all feel the current pinch in some way or another. Your not alone.

Christmas comes but once a year and historically is the season when people spend more money on themselves and others regardless of the economy.

So get creative ( if you havent already ) and start making some quality merchandise for your existing customers whilst also attracting some new ones.
Market your content in the theme for Xmas.. have a 24 hour sale especially for Christmas giftware. Have a "buy one get one free" promotion in honour of Xmas... do NOT just sit back and hope things will pick up.. thats the last thing any business owner should do.

In a recession you have to work twice as hard for half the sales. Thats normal. Its not just you and your store. So accept people are more money aware and want more product for their buck ( or at least better quality )

Dont display what you made last year, things have moved on, merchants have improved their skills and content and you need to keep ahead of your competition by always releasing fresh better quality content.

Of course to make the kind of content that really stands out from the crowd you need quality textures. ( lol )

And if you have your own texturing skills, then there's nothing stopping you from editing textures you buy from TRU ( and perhaps other stores but check their License before hand ) and using them on your content in SL for commercial use or personal.

If you are just looking decorate your home or store then dont drag out last years decorations!

Make some of your own and show your friends your creative flare!

Who knows? Maybe you could find you have a natural gift and can turn that gift into a little SL income ( which is always a good thing it means you dont have to buy L$ this Xmas in SL! )

Its not too late, you dont need your own land or to even rent some, you can set up your merchandise on numerous 3rd party websites for free or a very small 10L a month fee.

Whether your a consumer or a merchant no reason you cant be both.
Support the economy in SL by spending a little.
If we each put a % of what we earn back into SL it all helps to keep things moving.

If we all hang onto our purses then we are all driving the economy down further.
