Greetings!

There have been some upgrades over at http://www.SLTrivia.com

We've recently doubled the total number of questions in the database, and the number of questions is now displayed on the front page of the site. We've also changed the cost of sponsorship, lowering the cost to L$5 per "impression." Each impression lasts approximately ten minutes. Each question lasts about a minute when avatars are within the 20 meter range, and the sponsor is changed every ten questions.

Check out the web site for more information; grid-wide high score lists are kept for both you, and the location you're playing at! Feel free to contact me if you're interested in becoming a sponsor. Click "Where" on the web site to find a place where you can see it in action!

Regards,

-Flip

Try "Lit Poet"

I don't believe that Lit Poet is really an accurate answer. To the extent the name is known, Francis Scott Key is known as the author of "the national anthem", The Star Spangled Banner. I doubt that one in a thousand people would respond with "Lit Poet" when asked that question. Putting "Lit Poet" in as a search term in Google does not produce the name Francis Scott Key high in the page ranking.

The answer was actually, "His Poem". Given the weakness of the question, I've removed it from the database. Thanks for the heads up! :)

This thread is what prompted me to get Flip's trivia game and set it up briefly in the libsecondlife hq, a place which is nowadays pretty quiet and unpopulated. I enjoyed playing it, no need to have a store to put it in to attract customers too, just pop it out wherever you are answer some questions when you need your trivia fix. If you had someone around to compete against that would be even better.

As a result of not being able to answer that question, I was spurred to look up Francis Scott Key in wikipedia, and read the entire article. "The Star Spangled Banner" wasn't the name of the poem Key wrote; its title was "Defence of Fort McHenry" and it was written to be sung to the tune of a drinking song. Trivia is not only fun it's also educational.

So any trivia fans who aren't getting their needed dose of inworld trivia might want to pick up a copy of the SLTrivia game thingie.
