Is this a viable offer? I was under the impression that all internet related music was now under strict controls and paid for licensing?

You don't have to use it to broadcast music. You could broadcast talk shows or interviews with SL personalities. The site is programmed to work with a shoutcast feed at the moment. I'm not sure how the new requlations would affect a small broadcast site. I always fell under the "small" user exception previously. But I was considering changing this into a podcasting host site for SL podcasts as well.
So there are other things to broadcast besides music if the new regulations make that a problem.
