After a dangerous voyage, intrepid Victorian explorers have reached a mysterious, unexplored continent.

The natives seem to wear little clothing, and have wild, exotic ways.

A new group of explorers will be setting out soon. For every one that reports back, we seem to have some that are shot, eaten, enslaved or simply go 'native' - but such ventures are expected to be dangerous, yes?

Love the atmosphere this post created.... I suspect in some future episode, you may come across a old style LL TP point not unlike the Stargate. Any balloon expeditions planned?

Aye, Seven's a fine clockwork gal, and good backup in a pinch, but remember, if she isn't wound regularly it will all be for naught.

Balloon indeed! These expeditions miiiight just be a prelude to something far more.... interesting, shall we say. The Caledon steampunk shipyards might be preparing something to support our... further actions on the global stage.

Of course, it takes time to outfit, train and otherwise make airworthy capable crews, where there were but nee'r-do-wells, dockyard drunks, hooligans and dodgers just weeks before.

Few of the wealthy, save some eccentrics, are willing to get up from their social parties and tea to risk the dangers of the Unknown. Often those we start with are most un-navylike and lacking Moral Fibre. The promise of land, title, and adventure is usually what it takes to make the downtrodden rise up and better themselves.
