Caveat Emptor means "Let the Buyer Beware", and in SL this particular saying has a special relevance. In the 'wild west' nature of the virtual world of SL, where there are no warrenties, hardly anything resembling business law, and lack of tools to enforce more reputable codes of conduct, it's often every shopper (or merchant) for themselves. But we can make a difference if the good business people and shoppers of SL are at least on the same page.

As the population grows, there are opportunities and dangers. Scammers can make our virtual businesses or lives very unpleasent. Newbies often don't get a lot of information about the latest scams or new merchants might never even know they are going around. People shopping don't know where to go, and new business folks don't even know what to do. As business people and shoppers we all have a common interest, being in buying nice things or selling nice things and trying to have a pleasent experience doing it. While I hardly expect to sort out the complicated web of the business of secondlife, I might at least be able to help provide a place where some of the more critical information is easily avaliable and accessable.

This blog is aimed at providing several things.
1) Scam alerts for businesses and consumers and tips on how to avoid being scammed.
2) Provide ideas, share experiences, and create a place where business people can go to get some ideas and insights to create, grow, expand, promote, and improve customer relations based on another business person's experiences and observations, from both SL, and RL.
3) Provide customers a place to go to find interesting businesses, recommended shopping spots, tips on how to avoid problems, and how to get the most from the businesses they deal with.

It is new, but I will be updating as regularly as possible. If you are a business person or consumer and have an article idea or something you'd like to see talked about in the blog, please message me! I'll be collecting ideas continuously for topics.

Good idea. Most of the blogs I've seen are a random collection of information, so I never know which is more important to read (since I don't have time to get through all of them). Having a themed blog makes much more sense.
