There's, uh, probably a lot of things you didn't know about lindens. Another, another interesting, uh, lindenism, uh, there are only three jobs available to a linden. The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

There's definitely a certain ironly in a Technical Town Hall being plagued with technical problems... but thankfully trusty old CTRL C / CTRL V worked

and as usual LL ducks dodges eludes and evades *sighs* but its nice to knwo the grid monkeys get fed a healthy diet :/ I don't know that there was that much eluding at all - I know you like the analogy of the sale and the one cashier, but as others have said on the blog, you can have a 1000% increase in traffic on a site overnight without knowing it was going to happen. I'm saying this is reference to SL growth in genera - yes, it was a little farcical the Town Hall glitches yesterday ![]() _____________________

I think what they need to do is work out a way to run a group like a moderated IRC channel.. Everyone can listen but only some can speak. There's no real need for people to be physcially present - the repeaters show that many people would like to listen in and be able to talk in their own groups, and no matter what anyone says the four corner idea has issues with visibility, people hearing each other, people dropping, and limits participants to 20-35 reliably per sim, where groups can be very large and seem to work quite well.

I love the gentle irony that LL finds it hard to use SL for the purposes they promote it for.
