In order to increase the speed and quality of our internet service, we are moving the SL Exchange servers into a world-class colocation facility. The move is scheduled for Wednesday, February 7th from 4:00am until 9:00am SL time. It is likely that the downtime will be significantly less than what I've scheduled, but since it will involve total reconfiguration of our internal and external networks as well as plenty of rush hour traffic, I am saying 5 hours just to be safe.

During this time SL Exchange will be unavailable. Deposits made to Exchange Street or sent to terminals will be processed once we are back online.

Additional Information:

The IP addresses of our email, DNS, and web servers will change during this move. Due to the way DNS server changes propagate, some of you may be unable to access our website for up to 24 hours after the move is complete. The new IP address of the website will be 209.2.34.187. If it is important that you still be able to access the site during the propagation period, then please make a note of the new IP address and try using that if you have problems connecting.

We're running about an hour behind schedule, but hope to be back up by 10:00 am SLT. We apologize for this inconvenience and extra delay.

And no sooner does the ink dry on that last post than we finally come up. :)

Remember, if you can't access the site via www.slexchange.com, please use the direct IP address 209.2.34.187. This should only be required for the next 24 hours as the new DNS servers propogate.

Thank you for your patience!
