100 join SLNameWatch Alert List !

SLNameWatch.com
As of 2007-10-18, 100 users have joined the SLNameWatch.com Alert List, which sends an automagic email within 1 hour every time Linden Lab makes new last names available on the "Join Now" page. Since its launch in July 2007, the SLNameWatch alert system correctly identified the two last name rotations on July 26 and September 11. All users on the alert list received enjoyed a timely notice after those events. Many, including myself, were able to take a first crack at some of the coolest and most clever avatar names in SL.

Many visitors also use SLNameWatch for interesting statistics about Second Life available and retired last names. Want to find out how rare or popular your last name is? Want some guidance about the best last name to chose for you next alt? Want to know what famous real life people share your avatar's last name?

The feedback so far has been very positive and I thank all the visitors and subscribers who have had kind things to say.

The 100th subscriber to the alert system is a milestone for SLNameWatch.com website, and a sign that the website is ready for the next phase. I wish I'd known about this site/service before I started SL, or created an alt.

This is great, Adz. Thanks for providing a much-needed service to the community. I wonder if there's any way to get LL to provide a link to your page as part of the registration process?
