I went to SLX this morning and got a weird message when trying to log in. It read:

"There is a problem with this website's security certificate. The security certificate presented by this website was issued for a different website's address. Security certificate problems may indicate an attempt to fool you or intercept any data you send to the server. We recommend that you close this webpage and do not continue to this website. Click here to close this webpage. Continue to this website (not recommended)."

I did close the page and thought it was weird that I had to log in anyways because SLX "remembers" who you are and I had not logged out. Since I can't post to thier forums until I log in I thought I would post this here and see if anyone else was having the same problem.

SLX uses self signed security certificates. The certificates werent't signed by a certificate authority (e.g. VeriSign), thus there is no way to verifiy SLX's identity.

Hello Dora, as I explained in your e-mail over the weekend, when we added the "uncensored" section to SL Exchange, we had to use uncensored.slexchange.com as the web address vs www.slexchange.com. Unfortunately, the certificate we're stuck using until it expires doesn't take into account the uncensored site, so it will throw out that warning whenever you login to the uncensored side of SL Exchange. If you read the rest of the certificate, it will tell you that it is registered to www.slexchange.com -- which is accurate and valid.

In addition Lee is incorrect, we we do not use a self-signed certificate. Our certificate is through EquiFax.
