Posted in the wrong forum, oops.

I'm wondering what you the best place to hang out and meet n00bs is would be.

This is not the same as asking what is your favorite place in SL.

New users get dispersed into SL at the Infohubs, or they come in at places of their own choosing, or they get teleported in by friends.

Are all the Infohubs pretty much equal?

Do the brand new, fresh off the truck new users make it to places like NCI and the Shelter while they are really new, within a day or two at most, or does that usually take a bit longer?

A number of places where one does find some new users are usually also frequented filled with habitual troublemakers, making hanging out there a lot less pleasant than it would otherwise be.

Oh, obviously I don't mean the Orientation Islands and Help Island where they start out at. After they get through that.

================

Right after posting this I found this place on the map:

This is probably not the place I am looking for.

the Shelter gets lots of new users within an hour or so of entering Second Life it seems. I know our "Shelter Greeter" device announces quite a few that are 0, 1, or 2 days old.

Lots of them find the Shelter through landmarks at NCI, so I would assume the new residents are easily finding their way there as well.

the Shelter and NCI have a good group of volunteers to keep the number of troublemakers down to a manageable level.

So that's why I spend my time at the Shelter :D
