Howdy all, given the notes regarding lack of time in dealing with the Feature Voting Tool in the Blog and other locations I thought it worthwhile to design an alternative using resident feedback. The goal here is to deliver a full code and data alternative to Linden Lab to take some of the burden off their teams, provide direct access to the most needed data, and streamline resident interaction. Whether they chose to use or implement an independently desiged alternative would wholly be their own, but I think this is a worthwhile project one way or the other. The direct link to the start of the proptotype is: http://slhandbook.com/fvt.asp There is some discussion about the development on my forums at http://forums.slhomepage.com In my last post there I listed a number of Linden-specific feature I thought worth implementing: Okay, here are the features I think need to be added for the Linden side: - Date and author who marked a proposal "Acknowledged", "In-Development", "Complete" or "Can't Do"
- Automatic "hiding" of previous markers: "In-Development" should supersede "Acknowledged", "Complete" should supersede "In-Development", "Can't Do" should wipe all other markers
- "Complete" should record the version number where this case first became true
- "Complete" should not be a viable option for non-code proposals. I'm not sure what word to use, but policy or third-party "implementations" should not imply Linden Lab has successfully executed a proposal.
- Automatic e-mail notifications to selected Linden Lab employees when a proposal crosses a defined voting threshold
- Multiple "comments" from Linden Lab rather than the single box (i.e. at Acknowledgement there may be a comment, In-Development another and so on)
- Multiple "references" shared by both the resident and Linden Lab (besides the internal discussion engine, external forum and blog links from both parties should be allowed)
I still need to import all of the related discussions. I would also like to implement a Yes/No/Abstain alternative voting method that would sit side-by-side with the current voting system. If you are interested in the Feature Vothing Tool please check it out and leave me some feedback here or on my Forums.

I've implemented the first part of a Forums style interface into the Feature Voting Tool. I'll proceed with the standard navigation later today if I don't get any feedback. For now I've tacked the interface onto the start page: http://slhandbook.com/fvt.aspHere's a small screencap from the top of the display:
