A few people have had a go at setting up professional soccer leagues in SL, and now it's time to really make it a reality. The SLSA are an experienced event organiser who pro-actively run soccer tournaments in RL. Now we're bringing our success to SL.
Currently, we're building our first stadium in Chicagon. Three more venues are planned later on in the year.
We are looking for people interested in putting together teams and joining our two new leagues.
We have a Premier League, Feeder League, and a Cup competition (to be launched at a later date). In addition, the leagues are fully supported by a new website currently being developed.

The site will feature full fixture lists, league standings, match reviews, stats and statistics, rules, general info, forums, contact links, snapshots and more.
Be sure to check out the rules and regulations from the site. If you would like to know more information regarding our overall plans, or are interested in putting together a team for the leagues, feel free to IM me in game. A group has been set up which is free to join. We are currently developing our Chicago Soccer Stadium venue and website content so please bear with us.
The opening Premier League season is scheduled to go live on June 3rd 2006. With the Feeder League and Cup competitions to be confirmed.
In addition, we are looking for 3rd party suppliers for football kit skins. We will have a club shop on site at our Chicagon Soccer Stadium with space available for suppliers to display their goods, a small rental fee will be charged for the space but it's really really small to cover costs Good opportunity for people to make some extra linden.
Official objects endorsed by SLSA will also be available to purchase.

Furthermore, sponsorship of the Leagues can be set up in many ways. The Chicagon Soccer Stadium (our main venue) hosts 12 pitch-side kickboards along its railings. Sponsorship is set up per board per season. In addition, the leagues themselves are up for sponsorship too, as is the cup. The website will fully promote and endorse all people / businesses involved with the SLSA set-up.
One last thing to say... we treat our set-up in a professional mannor, but we really want people to enjoy their experience. Therefore we pro-actively encourage fun people.
One final thing to mention... we do award cash prizes each season. The winning team of the Premier League will receive 20K, with the 2nd placed team netting 5K. The winner of the Cup competition will receive 5K. The winners of the Feeder League gain promotion to the Premier League while the bottom team in the Premier League are relegated to Feeder League.
The only fee we ask for is a deposit of 5K before each season begins, this deposit is given back in full to the team organiser provided they finish the season. That's it!
