Howdy! I just made my introductory post to my new blog about usability in Second Life.

What I hope to accomplish with this is to raise awareness of all the little things that make life difficult, and to think up some ideas for improvement. How could vending machines be easier to use? How can we make buildings easier to navigate? What's the best seating arrangement for events? I don't have all the answers, but I'll make suggestions where I can and welcome any feedback.
This is aimed primarily at builders and busines owners. But whether you're a builder, you hire one, or are a homeowner rearranging your furniture, you can affect things for the better.
Usability is a well-addressed concern for web sites, but I haven't seen much related to Second Life, especially related to in-world usability. But like the web, our avatars are still using the resident-built structures as an interface to a system, and I believe many concepts would transfer over into 3D interfaces.
I'll try to make regular updates, although I don't have a specific schedule in mind.
I hope you find it useful, and it sparks some discussion about making things easier to use.
