Private discussions – the forums are a public area for the Second Life community’s use. Individuals who have a dispute with each other have other channels of communication to discuss their differences or communicate – private messaging, IM within Second Life, or chatting within Second Life. Also, threads that are addressed to a single individual or group are inappropriate on the forums, this includes slander or "naming names" in a posts title, starting polls about a particular resident or group, etc.
Hopefully this is the right forum for this, if not, my apologies.
My friend was renting land from this person who by their own contractual guidelines allows the use of security orbs for privacy. He returned the orb repeatedly, then banned my friend and removed her access to the land and returned all her items. He did not give her a refund for his immaturity despite the fact that his website kalacia.com states that in the case of the changing of the terms and conditions (which he did on a whim) that a refund would be given. When confronted with this knowledge he banned me as well without a word. I would urge all residents to avoid any business transactions involving this person or business. Additionally, when my friend stood there for 10 minutes trying to sort this out and all the items clumped into her inventory and figure out what to do, he rebooted the sim to have her removed from the area immediately. All because she wanted to place a security orb for privacy as it states in his terms and conditions of rental. This was no small amount of money either... but 25,000 $L he refuses to refund.
Maybe Second Life needs a Better Business Bureau...
