I've been in second life for over 2 years, and it is with thanks to Second Life that I managed to find my feet with coding and website design.
I have now set up my own RL business selling website 'packages' which consist of everything you need in order to construct a website, including a full manual and support in learning to work with your own website.
I offer XHTML and Flash websites, CMS websites and blogs including hosting at a low price.
As my first experiences of all these activities stemmed from my time in Second Life, I was considering opening a store in world to sell downloadable packages at a considerably reduced price to SL citizens.
I have read some of the posts on here, and I understand some people have attempted to offer website design from SL, doesn't look like there's much market for this, but I feel my products are different.
I'm absolutely not going to invest in bringing my business to Second Life unless it's something that's wanted, as I have pleanty of jobs coming in from other sources, so my question to you is:
Do you want a website design service for a reasonable price (under 4000L$) for Second Life?
I can build custom designed Joomla and WordPress templates as well as XHTML websites with a bundle of features and Flash websites and components. I also have downloadable packages which sell in RL for between £35 / $56 USD and £75 / $119 and would be willing to sell a custom built SL version for around 4000L$
One of my favourite packages includes a bookings calendar which allows musicians and DJ's to take bookings directly from their websites and optionally accept payment for these bookings by PayPal.
Is there an interest in these products?
