I was channel surfing this morning and came across some cool. On G4TechTV there is a show named Portal. It is kinda like a comdey/drama show that uses games for the characters and settings.
SL was one of the games used along with AC,TSO,EO and a few others I can't remember off hand. Anyways, it was pretty cool the way they intertwined all of the games into a single plot.
Has anyone else seen this show, Know how long it has been on??

Nope, sorry. I haven't watched G4TechTV since they took off all the shows I cared about and replaced them with stupid pointless crap. That happened a little while after the savage brutalization of TechTV at the hands of G4. Call for Help, The Screen Savers... <sigh>

I think Portal is in reruns now. I think they cancelled it after the G4/Tech TV merger. I could be wrong about both points.

I loved that show! It was the reason I first checked out Second Life actually. Sadly it was cancelled back in February and only lives on in reruns now.
Dave, the host of the show, recently checked in with the official show forum and made a cute post mentioning that he is working on a new project and that he has a new website !

Ahhh Portal......

Great show indeed. Yea its in reruns only now, but those are still great to watch. It was quite gratifing to see some friends I played with on the show itself.....

Yes I admit, I don't watch it(g4/techtv) anymore myself, god they reall f****d it up. I miss the good shows myself. I never did catch portal though, so it was new to me. So sad g4 is butchering the network to grab the younger audience.

I love Portal. It is so funny and silly. " You Have MY Axe"!

But the rest of the stuff from G4 was just so much fluff. They totally ruined TSS, there is only token mention of computers on the show. The only show left untouched, so far, is XPlay.

I have Replay set to record TSS but usually end up deleted it have way through.

I actually heard about this show after developing the idea for my show, "Hangin On."

Would've liked to have seen it. Who knows, maybe G4TechTV will pick up mine.
