it's been stated that money tree owners don't get much dwell from the items. this is generally true unless there's something else at the location that newbies come back to see after they finish their current curcuit. so now i'm wondering just why we do have these trees all over the grid.

mine is in a park packed with free plants that've been built and donated to the community by several creators over the past couple of years. there are also copies of several of the linden plants rezzed, mod/copy/transfered and appropriately named. the tree, which is actually a bush, was added primarily to draw newbie's attention to the park so they'd have centralized access to a collection of free plants. it's now part of my ongoing campaign to green the grid. gosh that started way back in december of 2003 at fate park in olive. how time does fly.

now it's your turn. post your money tree story.

I just liked the idea so much that I had to have one. My dwell hasn't really been impacted much, and I rarely get a chance to meet the newbies who come by for a handout. Still, I think it's one of those reap what you sow karma kinda things.

Indeed... though I have started a new policy of blacklisting those who, if I'm standing there and say 'Hi', just ignore me, take the money and leave. If they're going to be so ungrateful as to completely ignore me, I don't see why they should continue to benefit.
