Alright, Sig Other and I are sitting around this morning in our finest weekend sweats, drinking coffee and fighting over which movie to go see this afternoon. But, frankly, we're both too tired to really get up a good head of steam about this, so here are our positions. Whichever movie has the most votes before we leave will be the one we go see.
ME: Hands down, the Coen brothers are more brilliant than Tarantino. Sure, Pulp Fiction was GOOD, but it was no Barton Fink. Besides, Kill Bill was so long they had to spit it in two - yeah, I want to go see half a movie. Sure. We should definately go see Intolerable Cruelty!
HIM: Yeah, okay, what about The Man Who Wasn't There? The Coen brothers aren't ALWAYS brilliant, and Tarantino is. Besides, there are like four times the babes in Kill Bill. We should definately go see Kill Bill!
Okay - you decide!

Bhodi - I haven't seen either movie yet, but I'm gonna have to side with Sig and his impeccable logic. I hope I got my vote in under the wire.

There is still plenty of time - we're not heading out until 1pm PST. So, show me some Coen brother's love, guys!

Definitely Kill Bill. How can you deny 3 hours of non stop killing on the big screen? Coen Brothers movies you can still watch them on video and get the same experience.

I dont know. I'd like to see both. As far as SO's logic though, I say quality over quantity. Catherine Zeta-Jones is all that and a bag of chips. Have you seen Chicago? Not only is she hot, she's quite a talent too. But then what do I know, Im not a guy.

Kill Bill is a fun movie. Nice blend of film noir and camp at times.

My favorite site for important decisions like this is rottentomatoes.com. It lists ALL the reviewers ratings, and gives it an overall rating, too.

Harumph! Well, we're off to see Kill Bill <grumble, grumble>. Where's the loyalty, I ask you, where's the love?!?

I just came back from Intolerable Cruelty, and it is FANTASTIC! I won't give away anything, but I'll just say that it's something new for the Coen brothers, and they did it very, very well.

Awe! Darwin, you're torturing me! This just isn't my day. First, I get locked out of the game because I forgot to update my credit card info before my billing date (the old one was stolen and had to be cancelled, and apparently the system isn't automated, because I submitted the new one over twelve hours ago!). Then, thanks to this vote, I had to sit through Kill Bill instead of Intolerable Cruelty.
Okay, Kill Bill was pretty good - but it wasn't incredible. Even Sig Other conceded that it was a little long and not as much fun as he had thought it would be.

I figure, Tarantino is going to end up pissing me off at some point in the flick. Love most of his stuff, but there's always something that gets my goat (in the case of Dusk Til Dawn, it was pretty much the whole dang thing - flame away!). I'm sorry you had to miss out on the glories of the Coen brothers, but think of it this way.. Uma Thurman pwns Zeta-Jones any day. Sorry fanboys, Miss Catherine has always seemed like such a snooty wench (not the word I'd LIKE to use) in all the flicks I've seen her in.

Actually Cathrine did a good job I thought; I don't really follow her movies very much though. Maybe I'm a guy, who knows
