Is it me or was this the lamest super bowl ever? The game was so, so. The Ad's down right sucked or were pretty lame except for the Ameriquest ads. While I like Paul McCartney, everthing he did was old and boring.
The entire thing was tepid and probably a waste of time and since I'm not all that into football, I doubt that I'll watch again next year.
I'm just curious a about what anyone else thought.

I think they are playing it safe after the Janet Jackson fiasco

Yes they were. Our media, and general freedoms have been placed in the "better watch out, I might get sued/arrested/go to hell" mode. Instead of becoming more liberated and open as a society, we are reverting back to the time of the puritans or the inquisition.
Eeek..boobies are the devil's work!

I agree, the only thing that could have made it more boring was if they had had Barry Manilow, but I hear he was booked. LOL
The halftime was boring, but some of the commercials weren't bad. I liked the monkey ones, especially the butt kissing monkey.
Too funny MC Hammer was in two commercials, Lays and Nationwide. The cell phone "robbery" one was funny and of course the Fargoesque frozen convertible one was a "hoot".

Actually my favorite was the Ameriquest one where the guy is cooking dinner and a[white] cat spills the sauce all over the place and the woman walks in the door just in time to see the guy holding the cat with red sauce all over it by the scruff of the neck in one hand and a butcher knife in the other. The one with the monkey kissing butt was good too (the monkey commercials got better with each one that was run) and the Fargo one was pretty funny, I loved the accent and politeness of the cop. Fargo is one of my all time favorite movies. Overall though, I think that for paying 80K/sec air time that most of the commercials compared to last year were pretty lame. Though it could be my personal taste. I don't want bling in a commercial, I appreciate humor much more.

I didn't watch the Superbowl but I got to see parts of Paul McCartney's act.
When did he turn into such a robot; or was he always one? Also, I've never liked ANY of his own songs. Blerghhh!

I actually recorded the Super Bowl on my ReplayTV, not for the game, I already knew who won when I got home, but to see the commercials.

And is it just me or did Philly just CHOKE in the last 3 minutes? Don't they know that's an eternity in football?!?!?! The center tried to get them to the line and McNabb called them to the huddle and they all kept walking around like "what, super bowl, ohh, we're playing now?" Was a pretty good game up till then, we coulda had a phenomonal finish but... *cough cough*

Loved the Ameriquest cat and pasta sauce commercial. The Lays commercial was pretty funny too. My favorite is still the FedEx commercial, a damn nice parody. Missed the NFL Network, though it sounds like a remake of the one they ran last year (which was a classic).
