Ok I hear deeding for groups is broken atm, but while we are waiting for the fix, can we get some clarity on groups and deeding under 1.2? Any changes? Any ETA for the fix? Whats the down side of deeding? Upside?
Anyone feel free to jump in....

My understanding is that eventually you will be able to hand over your land allocation or part of it to a group.
What I HOPE is that at that point groups will be able to buy land directly using that allocation and skip all this deeding nonsense. It's an extra step and implies someone claiming land with their own allocation, then confirming it, then deeding it. Very wasteful and full of risk.
PLEASE, any word on how this is going to work? Without knowing the whole story it's going to be very hard to figure out what happens to us on Jan 12th.
More to the point, to get around the crazy limiting of prims by parcel rather than by owner, we'll need to do a LOT of land transferring and combining into group lands, so it would be very helpful if we could do this before suffering the effects on Jan 12th rather than after.

Yeah thats the boat I am in currently, I have a huge allotment of land and had to approve a tiering up to keep it, now I am looking at a huge monthly bill untill they get the group deeding fixed. I hope this fix comes soon, but I would definately love some clarification as to how it will be worked out and reported and the options we will have when setting up and maintaining it. I would like to try and plan as much in advance as possible.

Yes, the increase in tiering (payment) is a problem we are having too. And subdividing and re-distributing the land is messy, and costly if you aren't careful.

This discusion has already been had in this thread . Several Linden provided answers in there.. There are also some more questions that weren't answered before the thread died. So if you are going to bump something bump that thread.
