General Game impressions and requests ...

I've been in game now for just a few days and have been having a lot of fun with building things, designing clothes (I picked out my favorite shirt from my closet and digitized it into the game already) .. I've been waiting for a game like this, that gives full control to the people playing it, not the developers just watching (no offence linden labs, I see you guys in game all the time, i was refering to other games in general). Overall, I'm very pleased with what I see and will continue to pay to play after the 23rd.

I do have a few things that either I havn't found out yet, or just don't exist in the game. So I'd like to submit a couple requests of my own that would help the game in the long run.

1. The ability to carve out pieces of an object (i.e. make a cube, then make a smaller cube that intersects the 1st one and be able to carve that 2nd cube out of the 1st one. I understand that you are running a proprietary model format and you need to worry about streaming everything, but maybe just anything that would allow for more complex objects and shapes. Most things look kind of square.

2. A way to anchor your texture to your AV and stretch it when adjusting shirt, pants, sleeve, etc length. When trying to sag pants for instance, you end up cutting off the top of pants which happens to be the most important part. It would be nice to just stretch the texture down while adjusting this.

3. Longer maximum shirt lenght. Currently, unless I have my shirt all the way down and my pants all the way up, my stomach shows through and that just doesn't look good.

4. More scripting examles/tutorials ... This is just something I haven't found yet, I found the entire language reference and the little 'starter' .. but I can't seem to find a place to talk to other developers about scripting and things..

These are just a few things I think would make the game even better than the great game it is. I know games like these always evolve so I wouldn't be suprised it most if not all of them are already in the works.. Thanks for the great game Linden Lab's and I look forward to seeing future enhancements.

Being my first post on these board, I only saw 4 boards on the main page, That seemed to have changed after I logged in. Sorry for posting this in the wrong place, I see a Feature's Suggestions board and a scripting board, so also disreguard my 4th request. x=) My apologies.

these tutorials were written like 6 months ago, but maybe they can get you started. also take a look in the scripting library there are quite a few well documented scripts in there as well.

we are compiling our own version of the lsl manual. well jake is compiling and we are just feeding him material. Another version is should be out soon, but you can get the last one here. and it is totally worth it just being able to search by alphabet, or function group. Jakes the man!!! heh sorry couldn't resist.

here is dan linden's tutorial. Good Stuff.
