There are now 117,000 dead in South East Asia. I was wondering if anyone has put up a memorial to those who were killed on December 26. And I was also wondering if there were anyone that lived in that part of the world who were in Second Life as well. Thank you

I have actually been shocked that there has been very little discussion about this at all, even in the off topic forums.
I do know a few people have done some fund raising so far, I'm not sure about a memorial. I know that people don't like to mix RL and SL a lot of times, but this disaster is unprecedented and really deserves all of our help and attention._____________________

Have been looking for a memorial to our soldiers in Iraq too in game, is there one? So far only found some jerk off protesting the damn war, even here soldiers cant escape them lol. I also have a simple memorial (nothing fancy) on my land in Minna, along with a notecard dispenser that gives info on donating to the Red Cross.... I'll be updating the card as soon as I can get back in, and probably adding to the memorial.
There are also fundraising events planned for Friday, assuming the grid's back up... I just noticed the listing in the Events forum. I'm glad to see something being done. I'll have to check out the memorial in Plum as soon as I can get back in. _____________________

I had created a poster/billboard that folks could use for in-game ways to call attention to this crisis. I am attaching the poster, and some suggested text, should you wish to add a notecard giver.
