What are your feelings about the recent login issues?

LL is most probably doing everything they can. Some of us will understand this as growing-pains of a new technology, while to others the recent issues are beyond forgiveness. Where do you sit?

Probably uninstall SL and consider the fact that the LL staff have not atleast downgraded the current version or placed an immediate hotfix to be a sign they are unable to fix such common DB errors. Now I'm no DB guru, but I use to host a social MU* and use to hang out in similarly huge social MU*s. The only time logins ever became an issue is when certain characters are alot of redundent data[scripts, objects and so on]. I think that if LL wants to do something really good right now to fix the login issue, that would be place a permanent limit on how many unique objects a user[premium and basic] can contain.

I would also suggest to LL to consider a downgrade in the current version to test if any change occurs. The worse that could happen is that folks lose a few objects, boo hoo we got stipends to pay for losses. But the reality of the issue is that if people cannot get on then you don't have a viable product in any form. If LL's staff cannot realize this significant problem then they're justing pulling a Sony SWG on us and I frankly won't stay.

Lucky me, I'm not even seeing login problems....although I login at one of the stupidest times to test...

I'm sure they're doing everything they possibly can to solve the problem... if only to get rid of the unbelievable amount of ridiculous and crass polls / threads full of *omgwtflololol* that have become a recurrent theme lately...

I think its highly frustrating, but it's worth the wait, I have had few issues getting in, but I did have problems last night, probably cos of the sheer amount of us trying to push our way thru revolving doors the wrong way.

I haven't been logging on as much lately, so maybe thats why I'm so calm about it lol, my mad hatter OMFGI can't live without SL days have passed, I wouldn't leave because of login issues, this happens every few months, and yes I am annoyed I pay $195 a month plus other fees to not be able to log into something, but I also know the Lindens are probably tearing their hair out as much as us, cos let's face it, if they lose us guys, they don't really got SL do they

I was at owkr most of the day and when I came home I just found something else to do 0_0

I just LOVE paying for things that I cannot use...

I mean I'm the type of guy who goes to the store and buys boxes of tampons and pregnancy tests...

I'm pretty sure it's all my fault. Things like this always seem to happen when I get busy with RL work and don't have time to log in anyway. So... er... sorry

I suspected as much....

It's called growing pains. Every successful business has them. Sure, SL will lose customers along the way, but they we will survive and I sure hope to be here to see the end result.

I am sure there is no one here that wants to see SL succeed more than the folks at LL. Unlike any of us, they have more than a game at stake.

I'd suggest to put yourself in their shoes and examine your own job or business and see if you are fulfilling your customer's expectations to the degree you expect LL to fulfill theirs.

If you are not, is it because you don't want to or because there are issues out of your control that prevent you from doing so? All you can do is your best.

I'm in the complain and grumble category. Mostly because it gives us all something to talk about when we make it in-world. We can trade our "Oh yeah? I had to walk uphill 37 miles with no legs to log in!" stories.

and sometimes continues to happen.

I sympathize with the problems the Lindens are having but I don't understand the randomness of people who are able to log in. I was having log in probs this week but eventually would get in. As of 7:30pm last night I can no longer get past the waiting screen. I'm just puzzled?!?
