A friend recently passed away and I was thinking it'd be cool to get a SIM named after him in memorial.

Maybe we could even have a little 16 m/2 plot reserved somewhere with a memorial bench or something.

Just a thought :)

A game called wwII online has monuments to players that have passed. They arent a place that is seperate from the rest of the world, but just scattered throughout virtual europe. It seems many players are long long time players of that game and it is nice for the old fogies I think to have those.

Maybe a monumental area wouldnt be a bad idea with rights only available to the Lindens as far as placement of objects.

Actually, I think making a sim based for a memorial for all who have passed away like a virtual graveyard or memorial, is a great idea. Although, money doesn't grow on trees in this game, it grows from the liasons, so there's the problem.

Planet Mars has a small graveyard for memorials to avatars and rl people who have passed away. You can IM him to ask about putting a gravestone there. It's in Grignano, I believe.
