I've been away from Clementina for a couple days, and on my return I noticed that the west side of the mountain has suffered an enormous collapse. A giant rectangular section, bordered by my parcel on the north and Nolan Nash's on the south, has sunk.
It's public land, so someone might have bought it, modified it terribly, and then released it again. Does anyone know if this is in fact what happened? Or was it something else? (I don't know, a glitch related to the new codebase?)

A Message from The Gov:
“Jake, I’ve been traveling and away from home but your message sent me back to check on my mansion. Indeed, there was some resident landscaping on our hill but it seems as if the land has now settled. I could use public funds to purchase the hillside and preserve its integrity but given the current economic climate I must be very careful – don’t want to face accusations of misappropriating public funds.”

It looks like a good samaritan has tried to restore the mountainside somewhat, but was limited by the 45 degree slope restriction on the land modification tools.
Perhaps the Lindens could edit the mountainside using their special powers, restoring it to something like its original configuration, without retaining ownership. If, as the release notes for 0.9 suggest, the land modification tools have been fixed to avoid land collapses, it would be impossible for users to accidentally collapse the mountainside again in the future.
(Although the original collapse was so widespread that I find it hard to imagine someone did it accidentally.)
