I have installed the client for Second life but cannot get it to open,....instead I get this message, 'Windows could not load the installer for display' Could someone help me? I have Windows XP and it looks like I have plenty of room.... Also where do I go to get a live help?
I cannot seem to find that either.
Brand new!

the grid is crashed right now...you'll see a few other threads addressing this....it would appear that today's Snowball fight w/the Lindens crashed SL. Whether figuratively or literally, I dunno but the timing couldn't have been any more appropos.

Jaxine It's really hard to say at this point. But the fact is that the grid is really down, so it's best to wait out untill it comes back up. You should better keep your eye on the forums to get that notice!

If it aint up at 10am pst - yeah something may be a miss, but if you still can't get in after Andrew posts saying it's all good - then contact support.

Well, I came back yesterday after a little sabbatical (not having a good enough PC, still don't) , and the engine seems to have improved. I'll wait for them to do a proper job. Maybe they could leave a sandbox or something open during upgrades?
