 People and their peeps! According to CNN the world ate 700 million of the nasty lil suckers last year. Fanatics have come up with all kinds of things to do with them, from Peep s'mores to microwaving two peeps with tooth picks and making them "joust". I LOVE Peeps! The trick to them, is leave them out in the open air until they get all chewy. They're usually best about a week after easter.

Peeps look cute, but they're up to no good.
Yesterday at work my mouse stopped working. The culpret turned out to be the sugar crystal "down" off a trio of peeps who'd taken refuge in my candy dish. Then I clicked the above link and foolishly clicked the link about peep history. It PeepCrashed my machine.  _____________________

I think the Peeps are disgusting (I'm not a marshmallow fan, sugar-covered or otherwise). They did put out red, heart-shaped Peeps for Valentine's Day that were strawberry flavored and not so repulsive as the bland, Easter-themed ones, though.
My favorite candy is still the Cadbury Creme Egg. Cadbury chocolate is by far my favorite mass-produced chocolate on the market. And there's something about that gooey creme center that is just so appealing to me. Yum.  _____________________

And there's something about that gooey creme center that is just so appealing to me. Yum. I'm a big fan of these. YUGE. I don't eat as many as I should. I hear different regional versions taste differently, though, like in some countries the Cadbury's chocolate is plastickier or something. Hmmm! And this, my friends, is why I love Torley. I joke about chocolate but in reality I don't like it all that much, so I always traded eveyone peeps for my chocolate bunnies and chocolate easter eggs. I know they're bad for you, I know they are disgusting, but.... I like them in a variety of ways, right out of the box, sometimes frozen, sometimes I just like to pierce the packaging and let them dry out a bit and then eat them. They are kind of chewy that way. But my ALL TIME FAVORITE is to put them in the microwave and make a roasted marshmellow peep out of them! . _____________________
