Anyone using a NAS (network attacked storage) appliance? I figured if anyone would be it would be the DJ's with the 100's of gigs of MP3's.

I'm trying to keep it under $1000. I've read the reviews, but was hoping to hear some real users that wouldn't mind answer a couple of questions.

I'm looking for something accessible by Windows and Linux and maybe Mac, multiple simultaneous users, expandable would be nice. Definitely need to be able to secure folders.

This is what I keep coming back to... but just because I said under $1000, didn't mean I wanted to get that close:

i've wanted something like this for digital art assets for along time but they're either tiny or stupid expensive. thanks for the link on this one. ummm except 1000 gig doesn't sound that big anymore. :(
