No, I'm not his alt

Not sure who came up with the brilliant rumor that I was Alby's alt, but let's put that to rest right now.

I am not Alby's alt, nor is he mine.

I think anyone who knows me, or anyone with any reading comprehension skills, can vouch for this.

LOL! I can't even begin to imagine what would make anyone make that supposition. You have about as much in common with Alby as... er... I can't even think of two things disimilar enough to adequately make the point... Saying you're Alby's alt is like claiming that champagne is made of bricks Whoever started that rumor needs to step away from the crack pipe.

Jonquill - All I can figure is that maybe they have mistaken you for Jacqueline Richelieu? Who represented Shep an Alby in the forums when they were banned and was accused of being their alt.

I'm not really sure where the rumor originated. I was told by a friend that someone mentioned to him that I was Alby's alt. He didn't tell me who it was that said it, but that he assured the person I was not.

Last night at the Cartel party, I found out who at least one of the people who thought that was, and talked with him in IM. He said quite a few people thought that was the case. When I asked why, he said "same ideas at the same time" or something to that affect. I'm not sure what ideas those were, since I don't read every post that comes through the forums, but it does have me very curious, and fairly bemused.

I still think I must be Chip's alt, since every time I get ready to post something, I notice that Chip has already said nearly exactly what I would have said, only nicer. (Now if I can only convince Chip I'm his alt and get him to pay for my account.)

Wow, that is the most bizarre rumor I have heard yet. I will echo Rose's statement and guess that they have you confused you with Jacqueline (though I don't believe Jacqueline is Alby's alt either).

I dont believe in any of that. I just meant to parody the way people are so paranoid about people's real identities.
Most of my friends in SL are people that I know nothing about. It doesnt prevent them from being interesting and friendly people regardless of their age, gender and sexual orientation.
FYI I didnt come up with any of those "rules" - a lot of people in SL waste a lot of time making stupid rumors about other people, and I get to put up with them all the time.

What a bizarre rumor. Alby et alts are very obvious - they trip over their own words a lot of times and start to slip, it's rather amusing, especially all the protests about not being each other's alts. I can't imagine why anyone would be stupid enough to think someone as intelligent and articulate as yourself could have anything in common with Alby Yellowknife.
