G4 and TechTV have become G4techTV.com!

This is really interesting, because G4 is very pro-SL and TechTV is very pro-There. It seems that G4 is very much in control of this merger, so, we may be seeing a lot more SL-friendly stuff!

I'm not sure if I like this. I really like G4, but have always been a big Not Fan of TechTV.

Moot point. I don't get either now.

Well, see, G4 has total control over TechTV now. G4 forced TechTV to close their SF offices and move everything to San Francisco. G4 even fired the entire TechTV staff!

Are you sure you won't get this new channel? They're going to be carried by a lot of things. Here is the list:

I'll also post the list of surviving shows from both networks later.

This is horrible if you ask me. I've only been able to catch bits and pieces of G4 but what I got of it was that it's heavily gamer orientied and driven by marketing. I got the 'flash as much crap in front of consumers as possible' jibe from them where TechTV actually has some true geeks. They may be softcore but at least more interested in computers than turning a profit.

The good thing is due to massive fan support Leo LaPorte got called back and Morgan Webb and Adam Sessler are assumed to be coming back. It's not looking so good for Patrick which is unfortunate and they'll probably keep that Kevin Rose weenie around just to piss off real geeks.
