Printable world map

Is there a detailed printable world map anywhere I can download. I was told one existed in downloads, but I have not managed to find it. I know there is a viewable one on the home page, but I would like a printed reference.

Hey, not a bad idea -- the world's getting pretty big and confusing! Heck I can barely remember my socks let alone where I live. :)

Theres a map under uhhh Community - Resident Life and on the side theres a link for a world map, dunno if thats printable or not. Last i looked too it wasn't up to date exactly.(racing sims missing, new sandbox missing etc)

I had seen that one. But it has no legend and is not printable. I was told one existed in downloads. But it seems to have disappeared. I was hoping someone might have a copy.

It appears that since they went to the new dynamic in-world map in 1.1, they have gotten rid of the old static maps they used to have accessible under the Help menu in game, or on the website.

Sorry. I have one from June 19, but it does not contain some of the newer sims. It does show planned expansion though.

I would appreciate a copy still. I might be able to edit it and bring it up to date. I am quite suprised someone else hanst done one yet.

Call me crazy, but I liked the old map. The new ones are very useful in their way but they just aren't as nice to look at. I'm thinking a downloadable/printable map of each sim would be great for planning purposes too.

It seems like this would either require endless revisions as thigns change daily, or would quickly become uselessly out of date just like the world map link in Resident Life. Even a map of the ground contours, ignoring builds, would quickly get out of synch as people terraform their plots. And a map of blank ground would be of very little use anyway.

Here's the map. I'm pretty sure that the terraforming on there is the "stock" from when the sims were first added to the grid.

I have been keeping tabs on expansion of the grid, sort of a geographical history.

I also developed a set of scripts that will map land ownership in a sim, which I can then convert to a texture. It's a time consuming process at the moment, but it can be done. I also know of a couple people who have made terrain mappings of sims, whether as textures or 3d objects in-world.

That's great Bino, thank's. I just spent most of the afternoon writing the names onto a printout of the map I grabbed from the homepage as well. Yours is better.
