That's cool but this wasn't part of that. I walked by myself.

Very cool project. I came in a few months after that and it is amazing how much wasn't there by June, 2004.

Some random thoughts:

Brown still looks like that, Boardman sure doesn't.
Federal shows it was state of the art, not only in club design (*listens for Cristiano to snicker*), but in "For Sale" cube technology.
So much virgin land in sims that are chock full o' stuff now.
I was shocked to see how many sims that I was familiar with from the summer must have been brand new, since they weren't shown.

brings back memories, even if it happened a bit before my SL birth date, many of those builds were the first things i explored in sl :-)

That is really cool. I own quite a bit of Green now. It's funny to see stuff that's still sitting around from a year ago.

Very cool Essence. Very cool.

I was bummed I didn't have a good photo of Rodeo from that time period. Thanks for doing this project!

p.s. Attached is a shot of how Rodeo looks today.

Too funny! The pic of Mavericks has the 'Glass House' on the beach -- which means I must have been working on it when the pic was taken.. I used to build stuff on the beach prior to putting it in the dollar store in Davenport...

Siggy.

Thanks, Essence.
That had to be a lot of work snapping all of those pics.
I logged in and took a pic of my home sim (Green) from the same angle as your photo (repeated in this post, I hope you don't mind). Interessting to see what's changed and hasn't.

p.s open both images in a new window if you want a side by side comparison :)
Note the bridge, some cabins, and the distant "milk carton" are visible in both photos

Great idea, thanks for showing us this!

How about setting up a thread asking people to post similar pictures of their sim, and compile another page! :D

Awesome work, Essence. Indigo was such an infant back then! I love the plywood there by the sea, lol. Its was really nice to see some of my old favorite haunts, and that Taber is still pretty much exactly the same. :-)

Regards,

-Flip

Thanks for those! I kept the ones of Boardman, and the 2 sims that border it, Kissling and Deharo. I'm going to take pics of what they look like now. :)
