Just opened up group land for all members of VR Technology's. Still very much in development, just wanted to get the word out. Trying to spark the life of VR in SL.

I know nothing about this, but it sounds interisting enough. Anywhere one could go for more information? Or is this just a private project of your own?
If the later, could you give more detail about what you're doing/working on? _____________________

Hey thx for posting me back, sorry it took me so long to get back to you. Didn't think anyone was reading my posts. Hehe, apparently it seems most of SL find VR to be not a very intresting subject. Ironic I think,.. being the largest Virtual Community on the planet.
Alas, this is not what you posted to hear. No, its not a private project, your more than welcome to come check it out. ) Still have a hell of a lot of work to do. But its coming along. Hard to say what I have planned just yet,.. the Alice Research Center is mostly going to be filled with articles and white papers about science and technology(namely Virtual Technologies, Holography, and Theoretical Science). The large building down at the end of the land, is to be, hopefully, an auditorium with a 120 person capacity(built on the corner of 4 sims),... I don't actaully know the practicality of this, but we won't know till we try. If anyone knows anything about building between sims, let me know? You can find the center,.. by typing VR in SL search,... or just goto (Alice 142,242). Thx again for your post, I hope for great things from this project._____________________

Well, you're not that alone. Some time ago I posted a message asking for the possibility to use e-dimensional glasses and the head tracker with SL but no one replied. I had the same sensation you had (almost anyone is interested in VR), but I believe that a lot of people don't even think it's possible. Count on me for anything VR related. I'll visit Alice Center as soon as I connect to SL (Friday). Bye.

Bump bump BUMP!
Come one, people, I promise I'll stop talking about FIC if we all start working towards getting some VR equipment hooked up to SL. _____________________

If anyone knows anything about building between sims, let me know? People will tell you it can't be done. But of course it can, if you just situate the root prim in the right place so as to stretch over. The property owning groups should be the same on all the sims. Don't put a house into "edit mode" and push it near the sim seams. It will go off world. Then return to your inventory in a million pieces. Try to have everything done with a building before you move it into place. The game doesn't really seem to like having buildings go across sim seams. So you have to work around it. _____________________

i'd like to be involved too, but i may not be around for a week or so as the upgrades/fixes are being rolled out. Since it looks like there are a few serious problems right now.
