National "Do Not Call" list deadline reminder

The deadline to register your cell phone for the national do not call list is Dec 15th.

Huh? They put a deadline on it? What's the point? I mean... what, anyone who doesn't have a phone line right now can't ever be added to the list when the get a phone? :confused:

I was told about the deadline by a friend. I just did some checking though and it seems that the December 15th deadline is bogus and comes from an email forward that's making the rounds. The national do not call registry does allow you to register cell phone numbers. The number goes on the list the next day and telemarketers have three months to purge it from their lists.

I just want to say I love the Do Not Call registry. I registered as soon as I could - the first day it went live as far as I know.

I love it. I rarely ever get any unwanted phone calls now. If I do happen to, I just advise them of the law and that they could be fined blah, blah and do not call me again.

Same here, and since then I've only gotten one or two sales calls. Too bad survey firms and charities don't have to use it too!

WTF is C3PO supposed to be USEFUL for anyway, besides whining? Stupid piece of scrap metal would be more useful recycled as a toaster. But even that would suck, because who would want to listen to a whining wussy toaster? Is he gold plated? If that's the case he should just be melted down into gold ingots.
