This is one of the strangest things; I have ever encountered:
While sitting at your desk, lift your right foot off the floor and make clockwise circles.
Now; while doing that, draw the number "6" in the air, with your right hand.
Your foot; will change direction and there's nothing, you can do about it.

I don't get it. I've tried this 10-15 times now, and my foot's not reversing directions. Must have a wiring problem in me noggin.

Hah! My first instinct was to draw the 6 with my left hand (I'm left handed) and my foot didn't even hesitate. I tried drawing the 6 with my right though and my foot tried to go the other way.
It also depends on how you draw your 6. If you start at the top, the trick works, because you draw your loop counter clockwise. If you start at loop and draw it backwards then the trick doesn't work.

I tried it - cool if your writing with your right hand, use your right foot, if your using your left hand, use your left foot.

Aye. I confirmed that I was doing it right by trying it out on a couple others. They all said that it felt like something else was controlling their feet. I used my right foot, right hand, and drew the six starting from the top (so that I was making a clockwise motion with my foot and a couterclockwise motion with my hand). Didn't work once. It's official, I am a freak. This makes me sad, since I was looking forward to having a possessed foot.

I'm with you, Xadrian... My hand and foot did their own things without argument. I even drew the six in both directions to see if that was it. Foot kept going clockwise.

Yeah the brain is cool tool =P(yay for rhymes =P)
I guess when you're focusing on drawing the six your foot tends to focus on trying to draw the six too, maybe those who aren't focusing and trying to force their foot in the same direction aren't getting the same results.

Er... It's also a problem if your brain got permanently broken as a result of owning counterclocks (yes. they run backward.)

argh, scary. it worked for me. hehe
tho i didn't read the whole post before trying it, ie started reading and moving leg, then drew six starting at the top. by the time i finished i was thinking "well this doesn't work" then realised my foot HAD changed directions. lol
oh, maybe that makes me more normal rather than more of a freak??? hehe
(oh, and this from a person who can rub his tummy and pat his head at the same time without messing up)

Pretty cool! =D
If I concentrate on my foot, I can force it foot to keep going in the clockwise direction, while I draw the six semi-subconsciously, but that's not the point.
I think the way it works is if you try to "task swap" so that foot-rotation is now a background process, and drawing-six-in-air is now the foreground process, that your brain sends the direction signal to both processes.
Sounds like a bug. Where do I report it?
