Mac 10.3.6 issues

I just upgraded to 10.3.6, tried logging back into SL and am getting some really freaky things - I can't make skin or clothes appear, whatever I try.

I can't see the river outside my door either, although I CAN see the reflection of the sun in the water that isn't there...

Any comments, ideas or advice?

I've bug reported it too...

Please be sure to keep the Mac community updated.

I'm sticking with 10.3.5 until it's know if this is a global problem on limited to your config.

Thanks for the heads up/

Flicking the Avatar Vertex Programme in Preferences>Options has hacked it...

10.3.6 has updated drivers for ATI and NVIDA cards. Which do you have?

Display issues under 10.3.6

I'm getting odd render bugs under 10.3.6 with SL 1.5.6, after trying to select a region to teleport too from the large map. I haven't had any other OpenGL issues with 10.3.6.

No noticeable problems on 17" Powerbook with ATI.

As always, I updated the PowerBook first (12" 1Ghz w/nVIDIA GeForce 4 MX). No problems with SL, actually had significantly better FPS all around.

Waiting until tomorrow to update the main box - will keep y'all posted. :o

the usual caution

The old motto at Apple used to be "where quality is job 1.1.1". I always give updates a few days to turn up issues before I install.

You can find information on update issues on several Mac tech websites - my favorite is http://macintouch.com - their 10.3.6 reader report is at http://www.macintouch.com/panreader43.html

I had a vaguely related problem under 10.3.5 where only attachments and shadows would be visible, not the avatar itself, after upgrading to an Nvidia 6800 Ultra card (from a system with ATI 8500). Turning Avatar Vertex OFF would hack that, however under 10.3.6, Avatar Vertex is now greyed out completely. Odd.

(Edit : just checked, the above effect now occurs under 10.3.6 on the old ATI system)

10.3.6 did not fix the fact that I have a graphics problem since using the 6800 with avatar rendering going crazy, tiling of textures going wrong and rendering of any menu windows and buttons sometimes breaking down into an unreadable mess - all these only while panning the camera. (Edit : have confirmed that this only happens whilst wearing attachments)

Otherwise, the 10.3.6 update does not seem to have introduced anything new, except perhaps perceptively faster frame rates.

Sorry can't be much more help.

After updating to 10.3.6 i have considerable improvment in fps, this is running better than ever before. Just hoping it stays this way. ;)
