Hi All I own a small peice of land I picked up to do a very small project, The Land 96m which says it can hold 21 items, but what are the prim limits on such a small piece ? Can someone tell me how to figure out the prim limits on different properties please, I looked everywhere on forums.. Any Help would be most welcome

Those items are the prim limit, thus = 21.

That 21 is the prim limit for your land. Small, I know. Edit: Bleh, people reply too fast around here!

From: Dracc Czukor Can someone tell me how to figure out the prim limits on different properties please, I looked everywhere on forums.. Any Help would be most welcome. And because I'm a geek... You can calculate the prim limit for most parcels of land from the following formula: prims = land_area / 65536 * 15000 The magic numbers in the above formula are 65536 (the area of a sim in square meters), and 15000 (the total prims allowed in a single sim). Note that "city sims" allow double the prim density, which yields the following formula: prims = land_area / 65536 * 30000

Prim limit? What is that? When you get tired, or can't rezz the 15,001th one?
Heheh.

From: Chandra Page And because I'm a geek... You can calculate the prim limit for most parcels of land from the following formula: prims = land_area / 65536 * 15000 And just to be even geekier note you round the number down not up. So 16 meters is good for 3 prims.

In his town hall, Philip noted that the prim limits will increase over time due to better coding.
from the transcript: (Question): will the amount of prims allowed on a peice of land ever increase? Philip Linden: Yes, it will. Philip Linden: As we speed up the code or get faster hardware we increase it. Philip Linden: It used to be 10,000 now it is 15,000. Philip Linden: I don't have a target date or anything. Philip Linden: first priority is making the overall system faster with the prims we have. Philip Linden: BTW we are doing some incredibly work in labs on that. Hang in there.
