I didn't want to post this in the main forum because it isn't very important but I'm curious. What does the forum thread rating thingy mean? It seems there needs to be a lot of posts to get any stars. Most threads that get any stars get 5. But some of the really big ones get less like one with 4000 posts. What does it mean?

At the bottom of the page, you can select "Rate this thread" in the right-hand dropdown menu. It's pretty meaningless, really. I've never used it.

It's probably an average of all votes over a certain threshold. The funny thing is, one star is considered "worst" but if you see a post with one star in a sea of no star posts you'd automatically think it's better, wouldn't you?

I rated this a 5, just to see what would happen. This is the only thread I have ever rated. I glance at ratings sometimes, but I dont ever really think that much about them.
