You should consider that there are PLENTY of members out there (some of the lifers especially) who are not using close to their allocation, and will not be using it for the forseable future.

Unless I really start to go crazy, I can't imagine using more than 2048 sq.m. for at least a few months.

I'm sure there are others who feel the same way.

Why not offer to lease some of our allocation, for L$. I know that I would appreciate the L$, and it wouldn't have to be anywhere near the amount that LL is charging.

Bewarned: I would only agree to either a month-to-month lease, or a week-to-week lease, 'cause I'm a fickle, prone to mood swings, and might decide to start building at some point ;-)

Suggestion: Post, either in general discussion or in the project forum, that you are looking for either investors, land owners, or philanthropists.

Give a description of your project....

Wow...Another project for me....perhaps I'll develop a SecondLife real-estate office :-)

You know, given that the Linden's claim most users will be paying less than they are now.....

There are probably lots of unused allocations avaliable........

I think an open marketplace for allocations is definetly called for *evil grin*
