I don't think Bill the Cat said that. He said "Oop Ack" a lot, and "Ack Thbbbt!" IIRC.
Time Magazine had an article using the term "pffft" in 1961. I remember my mom using it as an expression of disbelief or dismissal since I was a kid, though I'm pretty sure she didn't coin it.  _____________________

I always thought she invented it. I met the Midnight duo (and you) in July or August of 2003 when they moved in near my Shipley marina. The first thing I remember hearing was "meow" and "Pffftt" _____________________

PFFT! LOL I remember when I first came to SL in beta and having to explain my pfft habit to people lol. I didn't invent the phrase but I don't remember anyone saying it when I started SL haha. Everyone that befriended me seemed to fight the pfft urge at first. Mistress always telling me "Don't say that!". Skee would invent toys to annoy me when I said it. Ezhar had his no pfft sign. Kenzington had a no pfft zone sign at her shop. My newest pfft victim, Torley
, had the Pfft jar to try and *cure* me. They all gave in, one by one muahahaha._____________________

Irresistable is the charm of Torrid's Pfft. Resistance was Pfftile.
Alright, that's a bona fide SL 1st! Since statements have been made and no dispute calls into question the origination of PFFT, Torrid Midnight is hereby declared the PFFTmother. Pfft. _____________________
